CHAIRMAN’S 2009 REPORT

The Jerry C. Singson Foundation Inc. was organized out of the Joint Community Services flagship of the legislative department (2007) which can be traced its genesis from 1990s when then Senior Board Member Jeremias C. Singson pooled human resources to bring potable water to every household built near the mountain particularly those from the upland towns of the second district.  To date, it has been one of the most extensive partners of the province in delivering both health-related and knowledge-based programs.

Year 2009 has been an effective year for the JCS Foundation as we have formally registered the Foundation last August 27, 2009 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with Registration No. CN 200929266.

Year 2009 when the country’s premier charity organization – the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) held its 75th Diamond Jubilee.  In this event, both the province and the JCS Foundation served as an arm to all the 32 municipalities and two cities when a simultaneous medical and dental mission was held last September 6, 2009.  This catered to at least 57,000 beneficiaries in a single day of province-wide mission.

Year 2009 opened the door of opportunity for a Botika ng Barangay (BnB) as First District barangays reached 100% coverage.  To date, nearly 80% of the entire province has a BnB operator and serves the community for a quality yet economical medicines 24/7.

            Year 2009... A good foundation for 2010!
